If you are a beginner, why not use the highly successful GIMP image-editing program. GIMP provides similar capabilities and is free and open source. The GIMP website offers a great resource for beginners. GIMP is almost as easy to use as Photoshop and usually provides a better image file type of choice for beginners who want to jump into image-editing software with ease. However, as with most things in life, you really need to try both programs to decide which is best for you, and keep in mind that using a program for beginners means that each program will provide additional instructions for advanced users.
